ME Shrinkwrap, previously known as Wraps UK, was founded in 1984 in Wimborne, Dorset to design and manufacture low-cost yet robust manual L-sealers, sleeve wrapping machines and shrink tunnels.
As the company expanded, demand for higher wrapping speeds increased, leading to the introduction of fully automatic L-sealers and sleeve wrappers. These machines now form the core of our shrink-wrapping product range.
Shrink film supply - including polyolefin, PVC and polyethylene - has always been integral to the business. This enables us to provide a complete machinery, film and service offering to our customers.
In 2004, Wraps UK was purchased by Marden Edwards Limited, a leading manufacturer of packaging and overwrapping equipment. The Wraps UK operations were integrated into the Marden Edwards facility, allowing access to high-tech component manufacturing and more robust build techniques. This development enabled ME Shrinkwrap to produce stainless steel shrink-wrapping machinery suitable for demanding industrial environments.
With access to Marden Edwards’ comprehensive design facilities, a wide variety of product handling systems are now available. These systems allow products to be conveyed, collated and transported both before and after the shrink-wrapping process.
To complement our in-house machinery, ME Shrinkwrap is also a UK distributor for selected global manufacturers. Combined with our own design and manufacturing capabilities, we supply a complete portfolio of equipment — from chamber L-sealers to fully integrated automatic packaging systems.
